Raised in the coastal town of White Rock, BC, Christine’s artistic journey began with the rhythmic ebb and flow of the tide, fostering a lifelong fascination with the ocean's moods. This early immersion in maritime life instilled a sensory visual language that influences her work today. With the love of the ocean and the natural world so grew her love for animals. With a professional foundation as a Veterinary Technician, Christine possesses a deep, anatomical understanding of the creatures she paints, allowing for a level of precision and life that goes beyond the surface.
From Clinical Care to Creative Canvas
Christine spent years on the front lines of animal welfare. Her journey has been defined by a hands-on commitment to conservation, including volunteer work with:
Wildlife Rehabilitation in Africa: Working alongside majestic megafauna, gaining a profound respect for the raw power and vulnerability of the natural world.
Elephant Sanctuaries in Thailand: Developing a keen eye for the gentle intelligence and textural details of these sentient giants.
Artistic Vision
These global experiences transformed Christines perspective from clinical to communal. Her paintings are not merely portraits; they are an exploration of the "unspoken dialogue" between humans and the wild. By blending the disciplined eye of a medical professional with the fluid, emotive strokes of an artist, she captures the personality, dignity, and spirit of her subjects.
"My time in the field taught me that every animal has a story, a history, and a soul. My goal is to use the canvas to give those stories a voice and to inspire a deeper connection to the fragile beauty of our planet."
Today
Now based in Lake Errock BC, Christine resides with her family and continues to advocate for animal rights through her art. Her work invites viewers to step closer and rediscover the wonder of the natural world.
